Recap:
If you weren't there last night, then you may have been the only one!
Great turnout for our first Happy Hour at The Grape in the Gaslamp - over 75
people
came to enjoy great wine and great company. It was such a success that: people
from the restaurant next door came over to see what was going on, and people
walking by came in to be a part of the action. Visitors included a couple from
Eastern Europe in town for the week and someone in from Mazatlan as well as
some people who had heard word of mouth that it was THE place to meet people.
Glad to have seen our "regulars" and thanks to all for spreading
the Uncorked word and bringing new faces into the mix! The Grape provided specials
on a
Chardonnay and Cabernet as well as their amazing appetizers. We have already
had requests for another Happy Hour - so don't fret, we'll have something planned
soon. In the meantime, come join us for Red, White & Blues next month at
Deco's in the Gaslamp!

Recap:
You always hear how "A good time was had by all" but surely Monday night
tops even the best of them! If you missed the first San Diego Uncorked event,
don't let it happen again! We look forward to seeing you at future events. So
yes, the first ever San Diego Uncorked event was a smashing success. Over 140
people were in attendance - there were some we knew and a ton of new friends who
gathered at Cuvee Restaurant in Del Mar to sample and learn about a variety of
Temecula's finest wines. Cuvee provided a spectacular location for our first
event with their fabulous view of the lagoon and their sumptuous appetizer
buffet. Both Chuck and Brad (Cuvee's owner and Head Chef respectively) exceeded
all expectations by providing a buffet with succulent treats such as their
infamous crustini, a variety of cheeses, antipasto, shrimp cocktail and amazing
chocolate covered strawberries. Our event featured three fantastic wineries from
the Temecula Valley (Palumbo Family Winery, Wilson Creek, and Falkner Winery)
who poured their signature wines - some of which included: Falkner's Signature
Amante, Wilson Creek's Famous Almond Champagne and Palumbo Family's Tre Fratelli.
The variety of wines was outstanding - they provided a taste to suit all
palates! We hope "Wines From The Hood" was a resounding success for all and know
it was the perfect launch for us to build upon for the future of San Diego
Uncorked. See you soon!
